Math, Data & Computing

With a two-year Computer Science background, MD&C wasn't initially my priority since it represented what I had moved away from. However, during Making Sense of Sensors, I enjoyed drawing conclusions from basic data points, and through courses like Creative Electronics and Creative Programming, I found a new appreciation for programming by approaching it from a creative perspective, rather than purely technical.

For my FBP, I conducted a week-long first-person ethnographic study, capturing interval photographs that resulted in a dataset of nearly 500 images and numerous journal entries. To make sense of this rich data collection, I developed a systematic approach to organizing, triangulating, and synthesizing the information, enabling me to conduct a thorough analysis of patterns and insights that emerged from the study.

Looking ahead in my design journey, I'm excited to reconnect with programming in a more meaningful way. I plan to leverage my strong academic foundation in Computer Science while incorporating the creative vision and design thinking I've cultivated over the years. This unique combination of technical expertise and creative perspective positions me to develop innovative solutions that bridge both worlds.
