About

Ecodesk is an outdoor co-working hub that brings digital infrastructure into urban green space. A single module seats six people and supplies lighting, Wi-Fi and 230 V outlets powered entirely by roof-mounted solar panels. The frame is raised on slim posts so grass can continue to grow beneath, and a light-sensing circuit shuts lamps off automatically at dusk to conserve energy. Usage metrics (occupancy, duration, time of day) are logged locally and uploaded weekly to help city planners reposition units where demand, shade and connectivity align. The goal is to blend productivity with biodiversity while providing Smart-City data on how citizens actually make use of public greenery.

My Contribution

I led the environmental impact research through literature reviews, observational research, and interviews to understand electronic waste implications. I also designed and built the physical prototype, which included constructing the wooden structure and integrating the project's technology. On the visual side, I created all design assets including posters, signs, the logo, and project video. I managed documentation and organization of project materials on a shared Notion page, enabling smooth team collaboration and resource access. Through these responsibilities, I strengthened my expertise in Creativity & Aesthetics, Technology & Realization, User & Society, and Business & Entrepreneurship.
